It was clean and quiet. But the breakfast was horrible the coffee was like water and the syrup was well I don’t know what it was? Plus people were standing by the outside door smoking . We saw a girl climb out her window to smoke !

I don’t like to give bad reviews because the place was GREAT. However….. There was no one around to check in. Which would be fine if there was a way to communicate. No messaging system, or email with instructions. (Stayed at contactless places before with great results) Called phone numbers listed on 2 different sites with no answer. Found someone working on the grounds, one of which spoke no english, be we were finally able to get the room key that way. Could use an ice machine, a way to contact any staff, and maybe instructions to some of the cool features.

I can show pictures of the unit that was very different than described. I paid extra for a Mountain View for 3 nights - and it was not Mountain View. We were in a different building at the bottom of the hill a 8 min freeezing cold and icy walk to the pool area.

Good location. Small pool and no chairs around pool

Very quiet location secluded and peaceful. Location is not identified, no road sign or driveway entrance address. I booked within 3 days of check-in, instructions did not get emailed until after check in time, host did answer phone when called but email was received 30 minutes later. It's a unique place, space is good, lots of amenities to cook and eat. Two bathrooms. Two showers. Lots of hot water and strong water pressure. Most of the unit is updated and modern. However it's tired, worn and dirty. The sofa was covered in dog hair, not just a little bit. It was all over our socks, clothing and floating around. The bathroom shower needed cleaning, walls needed wiping, carpet on stairs all stained and dirty. It you are used to hotels this will disappoint you.

The property is certainly unique, but you have to know certain things before booking. It’s run more like an Air abnb than a hotel. There’s no formal check-in or check-out process. If you arrive before 5 PM the restaurant will be closed and there will be no one to assist you or answer any questions. There are only three rooms total and they’re all located upstairs above the restaurant. If you can’t get your own bags up the outdoor staircase this may not be the place for you. An access code gets you into the vestibule that houses the three rooms. There’s a funky key system for the rooms as well. All that being said it’s a hidden oasis down a dirt path smack in the middle of Bolton Landing. The room we had was spacious and well appointed, as was the bathroom with huge walk-in shower. Excellent water pressure as well, always a welcome treat. Although there are more dramatic views of the mountains and the lake from other vantage points, it feels very serene and tucked away. An added treat is the restaurant Chateau on the Lake. Fine dining with wonderful food, wine list, ambiance and staff—without the stuffiness.

The hotel was very nice, quaint and clean. It is in a great location just prior to the entry of the access road. Large room. Small hotel with only about 20 rooms. Breakfast included. I would recommend a stay.

Great place, friendly owners. I will be coming back.
