Very organized and friendly staff. They lent us beach equipment are whole stay. Our unit had a beautiful view of the ocean. It is walking distance to downtown Kona.

Great location, quiet. Unit pretty dark and very dated looking. Had all the amenities I needed.

Our stay at Gingerhill Farm in Hawaii was a truly unique experience and the perfect retreat. If you're looking for something comfortable and memorable outside of the traditional resort stay, this is it. The outdoor shower and open-air kitchen were absolute highlights—they made us feel immersed in the beautiful surroundings while still having everything we needed. The property is filled with lush gardens, blooming ginger, and vibrant tropical plants that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. We also loved spotting the friendly geckos throughout the property, which added to the authentic island experience. A wonderful bonus was discovering the beautiful artwork by Mayumi Oda displayed throughout the property. Her vibrant, nature-inspired prints complemented the peaceful setting perfectly and added another layer of inspiration to our stay. If you appreciate nature, tranquility, and a one-of-a-kind place to stay, Gingerhill Farm is a wonderful choice!

Nice old plantation style house with a beautiful yard and view of Hilo. Staff was nice and helpful, even tho I arrived a day and a half late. Very peaceful place to stay, with birds chirping in the morning and coqui frogs croaking at night.

This place was awesome, perfect for our short stay in Hilo. We enjoyed the sunrise from the balcony each morning, the house and grounds are beautiful and our host was great yoo!

The resort was nice. The ocean front condo had a great view. There isn’t really much to do 9n “the resort”except swim. There were two pools. There is a small grab and go for food at the family pool but they are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays and only open 8a-12p. When we asked about a good place to eat dinner we were handed a pamphlet which listed the poolside cafe that was closed that day and offered no suggestions. Although the staff was friendly, they offered no information on a plan for the hurricane and just said we aren’t being told to do anything yet. They handed out a paper that just listed hurricane categories.
