Was not what we were expecting. Was off the beaten path. There was a lot of work in progress but when the owner is finished think it will be very nice. Needs to fix the elevator. We enjoyed our time spent there.

Great staff and clean room

Later afternoon of night 1 we checked into hotel for three nights. Upon check in was moved from queen room to king room. On night 2 we were awoken at 11:00 pm by pounding on our hotel door, even with the Privacy Please sign up. Front desk staff wanted to know why we hadnt checked out and what time the next day we were going to. After explaining our lack of sleep situation, and not very happy about being woke up in the middle of our night (4 hr difference where we come from), she asked we come down in morning to take care of checkout (which wasn’t for another day yet). The following morning, after speaking with manager, we were given some BS story about the room being double booked due to full capacity of hotel stating ‘they figured it out and assigned the other guest a different room. Explain to me how they couldn’t have done that without rudely waking us up? Especially since it was Breakfast; food was typical sausage (overcooked and hard) eggs (undercooked) potatoes (overcooked and hard), yogurt, pancakes, juice and coffee. Staff; manager nor front desk associate had zero empathy for waking us up. Manager went as far as to tell us she had no idea what her front desk staff was doing upon guest check ins.

The housekeeping staff was excellent—friendly, professional, and attentive. Unfortunately, my experience with the reception staff was the opposite. They were quite rude and appeared unwilling to help. The airport shuttle did not arrive until an hour after my fiancé first requested it, despite calling the front desk five times at roughly 10-minute intervals. When finally asked the driver what had happened, he told that he had only received a single request for the pick up. Waiting for an hour while repeatedly being assured that the shuttle was on its way was extremely frustrating. I'm not sure whether this experience reflected poor customer service or whether my fiancé was treated differently for another reason, but it left a very negative impression.

My wife and I love this place, highly recommend. We live about 4 hours away and regularly come to Fairbanks for supplies and appointments, very happy with the accommodations and the staff is great.
