Hermosa is the best kept secret. This property is peaceful and quiet. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The on grounds restaurant is perfect with indoor and outdoor seating. The pool area is lush and beautiful. We have returned to the Hermosa many time from Michigan. We love it here!

Spectacular property! Gorgeous common spaces and enormous room with beautiful southwest decor. Included breakfast bar was top notch and complimentary afternoon snacks and beverages were a lovely touch. Outdoor courtyard with firepit, Adirondack chairs and multi-colored Edison lights was a delightful spot to unwind at the end of the day. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Great remodel

This resort is absolutely beautiful; there is no denying that. Unfortunately, my overall experience was affected by some of the other guests at the resort. I found the atmosphere to be quite snobby and, as a person of colour, there were several moments where I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I experienced prolonged staring, head shaking, and generally unfriendly behaviour from some guests, which made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the resort. Most of the staff were pleasant and professional. However, there were a few occasions where I felt our group was treated differently, possibly because we were younger than the typical clientele. Overall, I would say this resort may be better suited for an older crowd, perhaps 50+. The property itself is beautiful, but if you are a person of colour or part of a younger group, I would personally recommend being aware that your experience may feel different from what you expect at a luxury resort.
