Very nice hotel, all the staff were very kind and helpful. A nice addition is the coffee shop on the first floor and a rooftop restaurant and you can use a credit they give you at either location which was nice. Hotel is also very close to a light rail station which was very convenient

The staff was so helpful & amazing! Everything was a walking distance which is a major plus. Food at Ben Paris was excellent l!

This hotel would have been great if not for one problem. First, the good: great location, super convenient to link light rail and main bus stops, excellent housekeeping, friendly staff, daily wine hour, the most comfortable beds, quiet rooms. The only thing that keeps me from giving a five star review is our specific room (the following observations probably don’t apply to many rooms). We booked a high floor, city view room. Upon checkin we were “upgraded to a King Suite”. We were a bit excited by this until we entered the room and started turning on lights. The room was large, but lighting was wholly inadequate. There was only one small window which closely faced another building, and the artificial lighting was just not sufficient for the space. Suffice it to say that the clothes closet was in the dark, and the full length mirror closest to the entry door was not very useful. One other thing I’ll point out, although it was just a minor annoyance… the bathroom is very large with a soaking tub and separate shower. Sounds great, right? The problem is the shower could have been so much larger but for some reason is one of the smallest hotel showers I’ve experienced in a while. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice shower with good water pressure and temp and a FULL shower door for a change. It’s almost like during the remodel the same standards were applied across rooms no matter the size. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monaco.

This place exceeded our expectations! Rooms were clean and spacious, the staff all friendly, meals were great, (the $10.00 breakfast was a great deal), and we enjoyed the special whiskey offering. The casino took our money until we checked out, on the way out we won it all back! Hard to beat that!
