I was thinking an “Inn” would be cute and charming. I just needed a place to stay in that area for the night and thought “how bad could it be?” I didn’t do my due diligence to check because it was one night for a short while. It’s beyond crusty. It’s a motel with doors on the outside, has a gambling room, right by a truck stop along the interstate. It smelled sooooo bad in the room. The sheets were too small to stay on the mattress, so it kept exposing the mattress covered in so many colorful stains. The room was relatively clean with what they had to work with, but wow. Never again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Petersburg, as we attended at wedding nearby. The town is small and there are not many hotels, but i was happy to stay here and really liked it. There are three buildings for the hotel. We stayed in the back building. It was recently renovated with the new flooring that looks like wood and is easily cleaned. The bedding was great and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is bagels and cereal that you take back to your room. There is a restaurant as well. We ate there and really had a nice meal outdoors in the covered section, though eating inside would have been nice. I highly recommend this restaurant and hotel if you stay in Petersburg. Only one thing: one of the buildings has ground level rooms that are directly facing the street that is in front of the hotel. I would insist that i not get those rooms, as the traffic causes a lot of noise. I would avoid staying at this hotel if you are not guaranteed a room in the back part or at least not facing the street.

Jerry is an exceptional host, made me and my gf feel like home. Couldn’t ask for a better location at Seneca Rocks to see Blackwater falls state park, Spruce Knob, smoke hole caverns and Triangle Rock. Theirs 2 restaurants and small essentials store next to the property walking distance too. So perfect, appreciate you Jerry!
