Staff was friendly and very accommodating

Good location, good price but poor maintenance: first room I got, the shower did not drain and there was no power in the electrical plug in the bathroom. The staff gave me another room, they were very helpful. Second room, the night side tables lights did not work (either the bulbs were dead or the lamps were bad). I had to move a lamp from the desk to the night table to have a reading light. Carpet in the room was very dirty and the tub and shower curtain had pretty unsightly stains.

Absolutely — that makes the review stronger because it shows this is based on a noticeable decline from previous stays. We’ve stayed at Hotel Encanto plenty of times over the years and have always enjoyed coming here, but unfortunately, this stay might be our last. Hotel Encanto, I think it’s time for a MAJOR deep clean and some serious updating. The carpets are filthy, and the worst part was the pillows. They smelled so strongly of dirty scalp that it was honestly disgusting and made it hard to even want to lay your head down. Every single electrical outlet in our room was so loose that you could barely keep anything plugged in. On top of that, there are hardly any outlets available. You basically have to choose: use the lamp, charge your phone, or curl your hair. Pick one! The TVs are outdated, the rooms are showing their age, and the cleanliness is nowhere near what we remember from our previous stays. It’s disappointing because we have stayed here many times and genuinely liked this hotel. But when basic things like clean pillows, clean carpets, and working electrical outlets are an issue, it really changes the entire experience. Hotel Encanto has so much potential and a beautiful Southwestern charm, but it desperately needs some attention. After being repeat guests for so long, it’s sad to say that this stay may very well be our last.

When I got to the office the man was very rude I could not understand him also he only wanted cash for $20 deposit on the room that you get back , so I had to run to the ATM just to get the room. I don't want to say that he's a bad person but very impatient after the miscommunication he did follow us to the room making sure that we parked on the right side, so don't be surprised if he does the same after that all is good
