I had the best stay in Newberg, visiting my family and wanting a little get-away for a couple days. The staff was amazing, the check-in was smooth, they rushed to get my room ready and the front desk person was so warm and friendly. In the morning I went to the coffee shop downstairs and had the most delicious latte with sea salt and honey, again the staff was incredible, so full of personality and warmth. The bathroom upgrade in my suite was luxurious. The only think I would have liked was a second layer of curtains- a sheer layer to let light in so I didn't have to use blackout curtains for the daytime light. Otherwise, I will definitely book this place again and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great location and spacious rooms! Room was clean and bedding and bed were fabulous. Would stay again if we’re back in parking! Secure parking garage a plus too for only $36 a night!

The Hood River Hotel has long relied on its “historic building” charm as a key selling point, and that worked well when it offered something distinctive in the market. But today, other properties right around the corner have been modernized and are offering a much more updated experience at essentially the same rate. If the Hood River Hotel wants to remain competitive, it either needs to significantly modernize the guest experience or lower its rates to reflect what it currently offers. Otherwise, it risks being left behind as travelers choose newer, more comfortable accommodations for the same price.

This is such a gorgeous room with a wonderful view to the colombia river. The staff and bar tenders were amazing
