Scenery Hill Vacation Packages

Was a little hesitant to book this room based on reviews and it turned out my concerns were valid.  This really could be a signature property for Wyndham but they are not maintaining it.    Staff was very friendly and professional except for one person.   The location of the hotel is amazing, very scenic and close to restaurants and the ballpark but the property itself was a huge disappointment. The the rooms were terrible.  The first one we checked into smelled musty and had mold on the wall paper.  I told the front desk who was apologetic and accomodating and switched me right away to a new room.  When I checked the new room the mattress cover had stains that somewhat resembled bed bug reminants.  Not wanting to take that chance I requested yet another room and was moved to a different floor.  The 3rd room wasn't disgusting but was pretty drab, dim and run down, furniture and carpet especially but it was clean so we stayed.  The fitness center was pretty good though.  Breakfast was also good although the servers were overwhelmed so they should staff up. The front desk staff was mostly great-Madi and Deborah were the ones that helped me with quick room changes and were very nice.  They gave me free breakfast for the room issues.  There was also a manager who's first name started with a "Y" (I can't remember his full name) who was very nice and called me to follow up to make sure sure my new room was ok.  On one of the nights my wife urgently needed to reach me, but my cell p

The bathroom ceiling paint was cracked and peeling. The refrigerator worked very well and clean. Only one elevator was in service during my stay. I feel the Expedia reservation needs to do a better effort in clarifying which Hawthorn Extended Stay hotel is being reserved. There is an older property in Saint Clairsville, Ohio and a newer property in Triadelphia, WV. Saint Clairsville Ohio is 18 miles from the newer West Virginia hotel. Please be clear on future reservations. This location error seems to happen often

Little outdated, but a great room for the price if you don’t need many amenities.

Area was good. Close to shopping and restaurants. Parking was easy. I was disappointed the room did not have a fridge or microwave. They moved us to a room that had a fridge but no microwave. Icemachie on our floor was out of order so had to go to another floor to get ice.

Solid accommodations at a reasonable price. Family friendly.
