The staff were fantastic. The front desk attendants were kind and helpful. Location wise the hotel is only a few blocks from downtown where there are great restaurants and a brewery. Easy walk!! The building is dated, although it seems they are trying to update their rooms. The hotel rooms were dated. Dated fixtures, etc. but had updates as well including a great bed and comfortable linens. The room was also super clean! Breakfast is not free even though Expedia advertises this. But- the excellent front staff did comp out breakfast since the Expedia advertisement was wrong. Normally breakfast is $10. And even though it is a “hot breakfast”, it is what you would get on any standard continental breakfast buffet. They were eggs and sausage and biscuits. But these were clearly the “hotel type” if you know what I mean!

The house was very clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained, which we really appreciated during our stay. However, there were two downsides to be aware of. First, after booking, the owner asked us to pay an extra money for cleaning fee, even though it was not clearly listed in the Expedia booking details. I chose not to argue since I didn’t want to ruin our family trip, but future guests should expect additional charges. Second, privacy was an issue the owner lives in the basement, and it felt uncomfortable at times, especially with my child playing and moving around. Overall, it’s a nice property, but keep in mind the extra costs and limited privacy.

This property is absolutely beautiful. My wife and I are looking forward to returning soon when we can spend more time there. Our host, Michael was wonderful. He checked on us from the time we made the reservation, during our stay and followed up afterwards to make sure we were satisfied with our stay! I highly recommend The Jillian Price House.
