The room was super clean. The jacuzzi bath was amazing although I didn’t use the jets it was perfect for recovering from the hikes we did. The bed was nice….not as soft as I like but still very easy to fall asleep in. Our rooms were quiet. Fireplace was amazing. Loved the kitchen. It was so spacious. The only downside was no food. And the food places in town are not the best…slow, expensive, and there’s so much traffic. It’s best to buy your own groceries and cook. And it’s surrounded by so much beautiful scenery. Loved just sitting on the balcony when it rained; super peaceful.

It was not like the picture s. Its basically a 1 room condo with a pull down bed and a Castro convertible couch. It smelled musty initially but aired out quickly. I feel it was portrayed as a hotel but its not. There was no sign and the check in desk took some driving and asking people where it was.

Property was very outdated and in need up new furnishings. Walls, doors, sink, cabinets, curtains were all old and worn looking. Not in a cute antique way. Very few channels on tv. Location and price were good for our stay. We did not eat breakfast.

Great local hotel in Wolfesboro. Walking distance to downtown main street. Tavern restaurant not open on Monday and Tuesdays. Hotel had a historic feel with modern rooms.

Very clean resort and family oriented.

Centrally located in the Old Port, with views of the harbor, this was a last minute — therefore pricey — excellent find for a fall weekend getaway. Stylish, elegant rehab of 19th century granite industrial building. Whimsical decor notes referring to 19th century owner Evalina Fox. Nicely appointed kitchenette — though if you came to Portland for the foodie scene, you might end up just using it for breakfast, as we did. Only sour note was the disco music (coming in via the ventilation system?) from a nearby establishment audible during business hours. Well, if you pick a hotel in the middle of things, you get the noise and bustle that comes from being in the middle of things. That said, we’d come again, but shoot for a penthouse/upper floor unit farther from the street-level mania.

Great time!
