Staff at front desk not so helpful

Terrible experience. Family of five with three youngsters. Despite being loyal to the MO brand for years, this Boston property is by far one of the worst we have stayed at. To start, there were blood stains on the room carpet. Two rooms on the same floor were confirmed by staff when the booking was made, yet they were not available at check-in. Room service trays sat outside of rooms for hours without being collected. The bathroom was outdated, and the air conditioning was noisy. Overall, the property looked more like a Holiday Inn than a Mandarin Oriental. We will never come back.

The staff is very helpful and courteous! Loved the complimentary water at check-in, checkout, and also in the fitness room. The fitness room is exceptional. Free weights, weight machines, Pelotons, quality treadmills, etc.

I can't express how much I appreciate the hosts very fine people Indeed, the property is just awesome! The view gorgeous clearly they went out of their way to think of everything highly recommended. Tim Lawler

The Godfrey was exactly what we hoped for. We arrived to stow our luggage and got checked in early. Complimentary snacks and wine (for Expedia VIPs). Beautiful hotel and clean, comfortable rooms a block from Boston Commons. Easy to explore the city and get to Logan.

You literally can't select a more centrally located hotel than this one. It is smack in the middle of Harvard Square. Restaurants and the campus are all walkable. The stadium is a 12 minute walk. CVS is down the street. Lots of food options everywhere. Loved this. One minor issue is the hotel doesn't have ice machines and the rooms have coolers. When traveling for sports with families, it's nice to have both. We called for room service and 45 minutes later (and an additional prompt), they finally brought ice to the room. First world issues, but it was annoying. NOTE: make sure if you order a room with two beds, you're aware that they also have DOUBLE beds. We didn't notice this until it was too late. All that aside, we loved our stay there!!

Chatham Tides is a slice of heaven. Beautiful location. Clean, well maintained. Staff was super helpful with local restaurants. My wife and I gave it a 11/10
