Great deal, great breakfast, nice staff

We arrived on a super-hot afternoon in mid-September but check-in was quick and easy. There seemed to be plenty of parking. The room was well furnished with the only ding being a floor that wasn't especially clean. Kerman is close to a lot of agriculture and it was hot and dusty outside, so not a big deal. The A/C worked well. The market next door has the same owner as the motel and had the best beef quesadillas I've ever tasted. What do I know, I'm a pasty white guy from Connecticut. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a location that fit into our plans.

Awesome! Only thing was the hot water wasn’t working so the shower was an eye opener, but maintenance said they would have taken care of it right away. Only stayed for a day so didn’t matter too much either way or it would have been a 5 star stay. Would stay again.

Continental breakfast is $30 per person with coffee. Interior of our room was a bit on the crummy side, needs a deep clean and some uplift (carpet, molding, shower, etc.) I don’t mind old, but this was more dilapidated than old. It was very quiet and a great location for a great price, now I know why the price was great. Tried to skip breakfast and just get coffee from the office, but they don’t provide cups; bring your own from your room. Coffee didn’t taste bad, but it was very weak, needed three or 4 cups still didn’t feel like I had any caffeine.

The place is very close to Yosemite park but the benefits pretty much stop there. You pay for the location but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. The property can benefit from a deep cleaning in all areas. Our room had a beautiful view of the river but inside it smelled badly and everything looked old and decrepit. We had a huge jet tub for the tub and shower combo and that thing was an absolute death trap. It was impossible to get in and out of without sliding and hurting yourself. There was not nearly enough toilet paper and although we called to bring us more, no one came with additional rolls. We went to the lobby and got it ourselves. There were ants and bugs crawling on the bathroom floor and tub. There were no elevators and when we arrived the only rooms left were on the top floor. I signed a paper at the checkin time to acknowledge that the property was non-smoking and yet there were people smoking at the restaurant on the patio. They provided ashtrays so I guess the restaurant does not have the same rule, although they seem to be the same business as the lodge. Everyone at the reception was matter of fact. Nothing too extraordinary or welcoming. The staff at the restaurant was incredibly helpful and kind. The restaurant though could benefit from a deep cleaning, carpet removal and replacement of old and overly used canvas chairs as well.

Booked last minute. Loved the tent. Slept so well. Easy in and out and close to the park.

Property was very clean and nice. Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked and shower pressure was good as well. Kathy (manager) was very wonderfully helpful. My wife left her necklace which we didn't realize until 2 days after checking out. After calling, Kathy worked with her cleaning staff to inspect the room we were in multiple times and calling us to check with us until they finally found the necklace. She then helped coordinate shipping it back to us. She really saved us and cannot thank her and her staff enough!! Also worth nothing: very close to grocery stores (Pioneer Market and High Country Health Foods). Favorite coffee suggestion was Sticks Coffee. Sticks Coffee was very good third wave style coffee shop with really a amazing espresso/americano.
