Thermopolis Vacation Packages

We stayed 3 nights and the hotel was… good enough. I’m struggling to write a mediocre review because the staff was wonderful. They were all very nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is nice but the rooms are extremely small for a family of 4 (especially with teenagers and each person having their own suitcase). The bathroom sink area is very tiny. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the people next door coughing all night. Kids were running up and down the hall at midnight. The breakfast is not the best but it did the trick to grab something quick before heading to Yellowstone. Breakfast starts at 6am but it was usually out at 5:45am which was nice to grab and get to the park early.

The view is gorgeous. Only about 12 miles from West Yellowstone. The area is quiet and the room had everything we needed. Daily housekeeping was provided. Definitely recommend!

The Hotel has a sister restaurant across the street. We had the hotel book reservations for us. The restaurant had no record of the reservations and would not seat us. We booked for a different time with the restaurant. They did not honor those reservations either. Not sure if this is the restaurant’s fault or the hotel’s but they should work better together. TV/cable was awful. We wanted to watch World Cup and the 250th 4th of July events. It kept buffering to a point it was useless. We were unaware that the full breakfast came with our room until our last day. This could have been communicated better. Hotel is great and very convenient. The morning staff did a wonderful job. Hotel was very clean. If they tweak a few things they will be great.

The location was absolutely perfect for all the downtown tourist shopping / drinking / eating - walked to everything! The breakfast “to go bags” were way better than I expected. There was a warm fresh breakfast sandwich and a yogurt and granola bar!

Nice and great location in Cody. Parking up front. Breakfast average and bed quite small but other than that decent

We love The Virginian. We have come the last 3 summers and choose to stay there every time. 10/10 on every aspect
