Great location, right in the centre, with parking (NOT free, £15 / night, but it is secure). PROs: Flat is bigger than I expected, with great amenities, and some food provided. Very clean up arrival. Washing machine was useful. Great shower. Staff contacts were helpful and repsonsive. CONs: Does have a bit of wear and tear, which does not live up to the photos. Staff originally sent me the wrong door code, so I had to work that out (forgiveable of course). A little expensive it seems, but I did not in high season, so maybe that's to be expected. Overall, I recommend it.

We booked this property in April 2026 thinking it was one house made up of one dwelling. We booked one night and after some deliberation we booked a second consecutive night separately believing it would be the same property. Upon arrival at the property we soon realized the house was divided into two separate residences, an east wing and a west wing. At no point did Black Sheep Hotels tell us that the property was made up of two residences and that we had in fact booked one night in each residence. During the morning following our first night we received very direct and bad communications from Black Sheep telling us in no uncertain terms that our behavior was unacceptable because we had not packed up our belongings and vacate the premise. At the time of receiving these communications we were on a train and unable to get to the house. Our belongings were packed up and moved to the residence in the other side of the house. We returned to the house later that day, packed up the car and left, as we were so upset with the way we had been treated It is unusual for us to leave any comments like this on expedia, but we feel strongly about the poor treatment we received from Black Sheep and our goal is to prevent this from happening to any other family in the future. Black Sheep Hotels need to do a better job of making clear that this property is two separate residences and let future visitors know if the have in fact booked both residences consecutively, whether by accident or not

The Links Hotel is beautiful, well decorated and comfortable. We stayed in the newer building and when we walked into our room my first response was how much I loved the colors. Our room had a view of Royal Dornoch Golf Course. The bed was comfortable, the sitting area very nice and situated to the view. The huge bathroom was spacious and luxurious. We arrived to two little glass bottles of an Auld Fashioned with shortbread—yummy! There is an espresso machine and tea service outside the rooms on the second floor for all to use, a mini fridge full of cold waters and chocolate bars on the shelf. Breakfast is included and was quite delicious. We highly recommend The Links!

Staff were friendly and gave us a good larger than expected room on arrival which was good. The hotwl is positioned in a very peaceful area. We had a room on the ground floor at the back so there was no road noise but lots of noise late at night when other guests were arriving to their rooms. Walls/floors are thin! The water coming out of the taps and toilet was yellow..not sure why. Bottles of yellow tap water were being served to customers. The menu was not to our taste far too much spicy food. I had to send the corn on the cob back as it was covered in spice. We were then brought a new plain one and were not charged which was good. Can't comment on the cooked breakfast as we only had fruit/continental options.

We’ve stayed at Kingsmill a number of times before and have always had an enjoyable stay. The rooms are consistently tidy and clean, and the bathrooms are immaculate. That said, the bedrooms themselves could probably do with a little freshening up, and we were surprised that there were no fridges in the rooms, which seems unusual for a hotel of this standard. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was really enjoyable, with a great choice of both cooked and continental options. The pool and leisure facilities were the one area where we felt slightly let down. While the pool, sauna and steam room are all perfectly adequate, the facilities as a whole feel like they could do with some updating. In particular, the changing rooms are looking rather tired and would definitely benefit from a complete revamp. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and would happily return, but the leisure facilities and bedrooms could use some investment to bring them up to the standard we would expect from the hotel.

My husband and I visited the Highland Club about a year and a half ago and loved it, therefore decided to return again. This experience was far from our last one, and was a huge disappointment. This room was a bit more run down than our last. No additional towels were provided for the pool, and no additional bedding provided for the pull out couch. We were provided 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for our 5 day stay and when asked for more, we were informed we must purchase our own. The laundry machine is a 2 in 1 with a dryer, however the dryer portion does not work. We found nail clippings in the crevice of the dining table and stains on the dining chairs. The toilet does not flush properly, and at times had to push down on the lever up to 10 times to flush. I would not recommend this particular room, and again was a total difference from our last stay. I dont think we will be returning to the Highland Club again for this reason.

Great location. The property was fabulous for our family of 4. Also we'll equipped to cook in
