The property overall was excellent. The room we were placed in was an accessible room ( not at our request). The shower leaked onto the entire bathroom floor so we essentially had a “ wet” bath. There were also some maintenance issues in the room, i. e. Broken mirror frame, etc. The hotel offered to change the room but not until the next afternoon. We were only there for 2 nights so did not make sense to move for a few hours.

Beautiful venue and rooms. Given the elevation of the rooms, we were able to enjoy spectacular sunsets. One of the most comfortable hotel beds we have experienced. We loved having indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Bishop’s Lodge location felt like the best of both worlds, being only ten minutes from the center of town. The staff were lovely and friendly. However, it felt like this was their first rodeo - we experienced a few snafus. Having met the GM, as well as the Head of Operations of the property, I have little doubt service will only improve. Not an issue of desire to please, just experience. The venue is therapeutic in its own right.

The room seemed clean although there was a dirty cleaning rag left on the bedside table. I ran a bottled water through the kuerig coffee pot to make sure it was clean and ready for morning... what came out had me running to the bathroom gagging from the rancid smelly orange water. Thankfully I ran that water through the machine because it appeared perfectly clean. Scary. The entire wedding party all were dissapointed by the bedding not being warm especially for the premium price of our stay. There was a very thin comforter between two crisp white sheets. All the ladies kept waking up shivering throughout the night. We laughed about all getting up looking for an extra blanket which we found in the closet only to be dissapointed that it was inadequately thin and not helpful in the least. The worst part of the whole experience however was nearly all the staff were very unwelcoming wearing cold hard expressions. While this casino is beautiful to the eye it has a very unwelcoming vibe for all of us. I wouldn't recommend this hotel or the casino.
