Pros: Great location, minutes from Canal Park & eateries. Free parking (across the street) and free breakfast. New, comfy bed & pillows, & new modern bathroom. Kitchen with full size fridge, stove and dishes. Cons: Hotel is a converted warehouse & was not well designed. The building has very few windows, is dark and dingy with huge columns right near doors and hallways, and it's a very long walk in the corridor. The ceilings in the halls and rooms have exposed pipes except for the bathroom which is modern & new. The hotel is very old and not updated. The furniture & carpets are worn, the paint is old and the elevators are old. I specifically chose a hotel with a hot tub, and the hot tub is "out of order until further notice." The ice makers are also out of order. You have to ask the front desk for ice from the locked kitchen. The hotel is in a state of disrepair and not kept up.

Gorgeous spaces! Check in was different with no in-person contact, but communication was good and room was easy to access. Elevator was very slow, so we took stairs to the second floor room (all rooms are on the second floor). Beautiful room and bathroom with high-end fixtures. Personal welcome note on the table was a nice touch. Record player and records available was unreal but fun! Breakfast was different from most hotels, but very enjoyable. Bed was SUPER comfortable!

Nice place within walking distance to parks, shopping, great food

The hotel is undergoing renovation, so lacking in some amenities. Room was ok, but needs better lighting. Bathroom was ok, but shower floors were slippery when wet. We requested a bath mat and that helped. Limited breakfast selections. Staff was friendly and helpful and location was perfect for our hiking trip.

The clerk was not particularly personable or communicative. During the check-in process he claimed that my payment had been declined, even though I had paid for my room more than two weeks in advance and was able to prove this to him with the hotels.com receipt and the entry in my banking app for the transaction, and it took more than twenty minutes for him to be willing to give me my key card because there was a connection issue with something related to the computer/printer, even though I had explained to him I needed to quickly check in and then head to an event half an hour away that started in less than an hour and which would end after the check-in window closed.
