we had booked a one night stay with two kids in tow. when we checked in at 8p, the room was still not ready. after waiting for them to 'inspect' the room for 45m, we were finally taken to a room that overwhelmingly smelled of toxic cleaning products. clearly, something was amiss + after much discussion we were finally given a second room that only had a king bed versus the double queen room we had booked. horrible slow service + though we were given contact information + promises that the issue would be addressed, the hotel has not replied to expedia or our requests. incredibly poor service + nefarious. they clearly knew something was wrong with the original room before they tried to pass it off to us. especially horrible given we had two young kids with us.
