Front desk staff was “bad”!

Though we only stayed one night it would have been nice to stay more! Everything from the clean rooms to the friendly, helpful staff make this hotel a winner. The location is good and you are a short drive from just about anything you need. For a hotel and convention center things were busy but the staff if professional and seemed to handle everything with poise. Definitely would stay here again.

If a traveler is one who can appreciate wonderful history of a given area within any town, who marvels at the architecture of the early 1900's, who respects the work to refurbish and maintain a nearly 100 year old home, is charmed by the landscape and relishes calm, civility and old luxury........this is the place to stay. Sans a few quirks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt transported back to the roaring '20's. The only think they we would have liked to have enjoyed, was a breakfast vs a continental menu. We met one of the owners and he was gracious with his time and key historical notes regarding the house and previous owners.

Staff are so friendly and engaging and helpful. They provide a very causal, personable atmosphere. We will be back!!

Awesome Stay! The staff was friendly and engaging. The room smelled great, the bed was firm, and the linen felt fresh. Parking was plentiful and easily accessible from multiple building exits. It’s an excellent operation and reasonably priced. HB

The carpet on the floors in the hall were stain. The picture for the room show carpet, no carpet. I seen two roaches. The pillows are extra small. I asked staff about the carpet and the person I spoke to was not even the manger. Manger was not on duty. When staff called the manger she didn’t answer. The side doors are hard to open

The house was very clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained, which we really appreciated during our stay. However, there were two downsides to be aware of. First, after booking, the owner asked us to pay an extra money for cleaning fee, even though it was not clearly listed in the Expedia booking details. I chose not to argue since I didn’t want to ruin our family trip, but future guests should expect additional charges. Second, privacy was an issue the owner lives in the basement, and it felt uncomfortable at times, especially with my child playing and moving around. Overall, it’s a nice property, but keep in mind the extra costs and limited privacy.
