Room 16 sold as Premium room, Very small double bed, ok sleeping alone vey tight I image for 2. The room has zero view with the window facing the back of the other part of the hotel and directly above the bar. Each morning around 6 the ovens and fans etc start generating noise from the kitchens below. Unfortunately for me also the person in Room 15 had their TV on all night, until 0600 and it is mounted on the wall directly behind the bed head in R16!! I will not be paying a Premium for that room again!! Breakfast is pretty good but there really is no need to put herbs as dressing on virtually every item from eggs to tomatoes, it is NOT a part of an english breakfast. Its chef BS and does not taste better. Also have the option of plain yoghurt rather than those awful flavoured pots you have.

I stayed here because we went to the theatre that was 10 minutes walk away. Close to Southampton shopping area. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast which was very good. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a standard bedroom for 2 nights. The room was very tired and bland. The bathroom had mould around the bath handles and could do with modernising. It was a shame because the building has lovely grounds and communal areas are pleasant too. Staff were friendly and food was good.

We stayed here as a base for Goodwood Revival, with the event being around an hour away. Upon arrival, the hotel is covered in scaffolding as there are ongoing building works. We didn’t experience any disruption from it over the weekend but it’s useful to note. The staff member assisting us with check-in wasn’t very helpful - we asked about parking and how to pay for that and he kept saying about a machine but it was broken and to sort it tomorrow. We’d arrived in the dark, tired after a 5 hour journey, so hadn’t noticed the signs in the car park and spent the evening worrying we’d get a penalty charge for parking but we were able to pay retrospectively on Ringgo. Note: the hotel doesn’t come up when you search nearby locations on Ringgo and you have to use their code. The hotel was pleasant and well maintained but the beds weren’t very comfy at all. We ordered room service for dinner and the wrong drinks were brought up, and when my husband went down to query it the bar were insistent that’s what we’d ordered until he showed them the email confirmation. Turns out they’d run out of what we asked for us gave us whatever they wanted instead. The food though was absolutely fantastic - the salmon wrap and sweet potato fries were wonderful, so much so that I ordered the same again the next night. The hotel was very busy, even as we checked out at ~8am Sunday as the onsite gym is very popular - this also makes the car park very busy so you have to hunt for a space.

Really nice house, table football etc for the kids, nice back garden and well-equipped kitchen. Really happy
