The Grand Island Inn is a great place to stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked great. It fit my needs perfectly.

started the night at the casino... service in the sports bar was horrible... had to ask management twice for the waitress... Who they couldn't even find... and there were 4 other tables filled.. the place was not busy... that night when we went to bed at 11:30 - pulled back the covers - there was an old receipt from the day July9th in the bed along with a bunch of black stuff... Clearly the sheets were not changed and the staff never bothered to look under the covers.. disgusting... the pool is not available during the day for customers staying one night. Can't check in until 4pm (called no early checkin allowed) and have to be out by 11am. We were coming to town to get away and relax... so sitting by the pool in the heat of the day would have been nice. I asked about using the pool after checkout and one staff member said yes that is not a problem... We can allow access till 1pm and was going to give us new wristbands. when we went to get the wristbands Another staff member told us we had to pay $25 per person if we wanted to swim for an hour. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! It could be a very nice place but you better revaluate your staff and policies... You will crumble quickly!

This was a great place to stay. The staff was very attentive and the property was very nicely decorated. Room was updated and very nice. Great location in downtown, easy to walk to restaurants and stores. Even with the restaurant below the room, there was zero noise in the room.
