On arrival and check in, I was immediately dismayed to find the elevator was inoperable, and I was on the top floor, the stairwell was littered, there were individuals on the first landing smoking something other than cigarettes. My room was disgustingly filthy, there were individuals walls were cracked, the curtain was disheveled and the air conditioner unit had no cover over the metal filter which was clogged with God knows what and the television had a huge crack down the screen and was not functional to view. I requested a refund and was told no. Reason given was due to the discount given on reservation by my credit card offer which was made online. I provided my card and state drivers license on checkin to verify my identity as asked. By the front desk attendant. I requested clean sheets and another television at least - was told nothing was available not even another room. On returning to my room I was approached by two separate individuals selling drugs. The following morning I asked again to speak to the manager or owner who was not available the night before - introduced to an elderly man who ‘did not understand English’ . She was unable to translate. After a long effort to explain my displeasure he shook his head and left. My local associate came to get me and created quite a stir and the clerk asked me to check out for the next nights refund she had refused to give me earlier. This required my card and license again - I received a credit for $50 but charged $171

The property was an Extended Stay America in a very good location. New ownership with Motel 6 has severe issues. No housekeeping unless you stay 14 days or more. No thrash take out no clean towels. It offers No Amenities such coffee pot, water and no pots, pans or dishes in the unit. No hospitality. The Staff was rarely in the office. No security. Television had service issues for over a month. I was charged additional charges upon arrival even I had prepaid my entire stay. Staff refused to list what the charges are for after multiple requests. There were only 5 towels and 2 ice trays in the unit. No other services provided. Most of maintenance staff left at 2:pm daily. I do not recommend anybody stays there until new ownership offers more than filth during your stay. I checked out 2 days early and trying to get some satisfaction for my money.

A decent, clean, affordable hotel in a quiet neighborhood right off interstate 20 near Jackson, MS. Competent staff and good breakfast with multiple choices, (including our favorites like eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, waffles). We liked their "Seattle's Best" coffee. The hotel is "pet-friendly," (and we are not), but our room was clean with no evidence of animals, so everybody was happy. We are not hard to please, so this was all we needed on our trip, especially the price was fair for a family of three traveling on the weekend. We read some of the negative reviews but we did not really have any problems personally. The building is not new but they keep it clean. The place does have a bit of humidity but so does everywhere else. (You ARE in Mississippi, after all.) Everything else was what we needed after a long day of driving, hot shower, good beds, in a safe place to sleep along our travels. Good for families with kids. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will stay here again the next time we pass through.
