Booked a last minute room due to a local power outage. I was able to secure a pup friendly room and early check in. The hotel was super cute and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend.

The staff is the best part about staying at the Townsend. This is old money. They have incredibly well trained staff and just plain knowledgeable, helpful, and kind people. If you're looking for a great experience in Birmingham, stay here!

Easy access to anything downtown Detroit. Safe walking distance to a Tigers game! Room are large with a big kitchen. Have stayed there many times and will return.

I stayed during 4th of July weekend …I feel like the rooms were very small and outdated . I was displeased that the bathroom didn’t have a vanity …I pretty much had to live out of my bags and hygiene kit for the duration of my stay because It just wasn’t enough room for anything in bathroom ..also it was only enough room for one suitcase/luagge in the double room . I would not stay here again…
