I had a great stay at the Chateau Hotel. The staff were very friendly; the hotel was clean and located in the middle of all the action. The only thing I'd advise is to be careful when choosing the room on Expedia. On Expedia the room I chose showed it came with a balcony. However, I was told differently when I arrived. I was given a room with no balcony, and the window was useless because it was facing the courtyard on the ground floor. Therefore, the room felt a bit claustrophobic, to me. Other than that, I had a pleasant stay. I did not experience any ghostly encounters, if anyone is concerned/curious about that. Staying in any hotel in the French Quarter, you run that risk.

Incredibly welcoming staff always acknowledged me even when quickly passing through the lobby. Modern building, nicely maintained. The single room was roomy with high ceilings, large bathroom with shower that feels almost too open. My room faced Canal and could easily hear the street noise. The room included a white noise machine which is nice. About 20 minute walk to WWII museum, bus/streetcar on St.Charles gets you to the Garden District. The French Quarter is across the street. Maybe a 20-30 minute walk across to Esplanade. I had a great stay here. Would recommend. Would stay again.

Loved my stay here. Went for my birthday and they took wonderful care of me. It was such a fun trip and the staff were truly excellent.

The hotel was very well run, except that the elevators take forever (and once in a while didn't want to work) BUT staff was very nice and helpful when that happened. Nice conference facilities and ammenities
