Nice hotel in New Haven where I stayed when I participated in the Faxon Race in Sept. Close to New Haven Green, lots of restaurants, very walkable. Property was very clean, staff at check in/out were very helpful. Bathroom had nice materials, water was immediately hot, and good lighting for makeup; available robe for use was a nice touch. Counter space was limited, and the fan and light was on the same switch so you had to hear the fan every time you turned on the light. The mini fridge was in a cabinet with no outlet so I had to drag it out into the room to plug it in to get it cold; I left it there until the day I checked out when I unplugged and returned it to the cabinet. There is no breakfast included however they do have Starbucks coffee in the lobby in AM. Although they do have a fairly good selection of food items at the kiosk in the lobby it was very expensive ($5 for a 6 oz cup of yougurt!). Parking was directly across the street and fairly reasonable for a city; the ramps were pretty tight so if you have a large vehicle it could be a challenge navigating.

The parking situation is very unclear. There is a small sign far from the lot that warns of towing but nothing in the area where you park. No significant warnings in communications with host.

Was unable to enter the unit as the key was not available in the Lockbox. Landing (the rental company) was unable to locate the key, which was apparently with the cleaning staff, who were unavailable. We ended up having to rent another property for our visit.

Lovely atmosphere with a comfortable room. Terrific bed and shower. Noisy if room is in the front and close to the street. Prominent odor of dogs upon entering the room. Marble rim around vanity quite dirty…sink was fine. Dogs are allowed in every room. Be aware. Front desk personnel terrific.
