The picture of the room on Expedia is not the room. A signature room on Expedia has a picture of a soaking tub. I got to my room and there was a pile of sheets in the floor in front of my door. I saw that there was no tub so I called guest services. The woman on the line told me that they can’t help me—that I have go back down (15 floors) to the lobby to get to the front desk. I asked her to transfer me and she told me that it wasn’t an option. I went back down to the desk only to learn that they couldn’t change my room because I booked through Expedia. My room smelled like smoke so I sent a message through the maintenance app since that’s the only app with a comment area and guest services wasn’t helping. I told them that I signed an agreement to not smoke in the room or I’d be fined $250. Maintenance came to the room with air freshener. Like what? Room service took nearly an hour. When I contact guest services again, they told me that the couldn’t transfer me to in-room dining and that the room service is closed on Monday. This was after I had already placed my order on the tablet in the room and they sent me a receipt. About 3 mins later my food came. The left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. They had me download the hotel app-asked what the occasion was (my anniversary) and even asked that we upload pics so that they can recognize us. No one did. Instructions to find the Serenity apartments at Wauwatosa Wisconsin weren't great but once we found the actual apartment, it exceeded our expectations. It was truly a home away from home, as it was immaculately clean and had everything needed for a fuss free stay. Shops and restaurants witin walking distance. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning for a longer extended stay!
