Beds were comfy, pool area was lovely, was very quiet and relaxing

It was a very charming stay with AMAZING homemade cookies and stocked fridge with water and soda to make the stay very "home like". Very easy and simple check-in, and a BEAUTIFUL cooper birch out front that made my day when I saw it!

We had a great stay it was very quiet and clean

Positives: Nice staff. All the food I had there was delicious. Not-so-positives: Snack machines did not work for the 2 days I was there. The building is obviously old. The rooms have those dingy corners that need cleaning. The bathroom doors needed to be wiped down. Unusual brownish-red streaks on the white doors were obvious. A simple wipe over may have helped. The rooms had great air conditioning, but the commom areas and the gym were ridiculously hot. It's as if they shut off the AC to save money. The bartender blamed the heat on the big windows. She was trying to be positive. The logic didn't fly with me though. I've been in beautiful hotels in warm locations and their AC worked despite the windows. Overall, the place was ok. It served its purpose (a wedding), but I wouldn't give it more than 3 stars.

We had an excellent weekend staying at the Canandaigua Guesthouse! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave great recommendations on fun things to do and see in the area. The breakfasts were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed spending each morning out on the veranda. Our room was very well appointed with all the comforts one could need. So many thoughtful details we were pleasantly surprised by. Highly recommended!

A/c could have been better but overall a fantastic stay

Room was ok and clean but not too much the bath and it needs more maintenance! Looks very old Staff was ok, the girl at the reception sems to pick up a garbage bag with a dozen of bagels that fell down to the floor, I hope she took the bag to recycle them for herself and not for the customers! Unfortunately I could not record her and complain!
