Guernsey Vacation Packages

Traveled with company. I was put in room w double bed. Could not sleep. Front desk told me that’s what Expedia asked for.

This was a very unique hotel. From the outside, it certainly didn’t look like much, but inside was quite different! Very pretty inside! The only thing I’d say is it needs more overhead lighting -kind of ‘dark’ inside - but that lower lighting was part of the overall vibe. Not a deal breaker! Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a bar and tv on the first level which was a nice area to hang out in downtime. Breakfast was average but I knew that going in. Very simple, basic. We only stayed one night so not really a problem for us. The room was CLEAN and well maintained. The hotel was CLEAN and quiet! I would stay there again if ever in the area.

Let me start by saying I can't make this up. Checking in, asked front desk attendant, who was not wearing shoes or socks, if there was feather free bedding, as there was an allergy issue in my group. There was a language barrier, so she asked another employee for help. The gentleman told me yes of course the room was feather free because pets were on the 1st floor. I explained I was asking if there were feathers in the pillows, he assured me the windows didn't open so no birds could get in. They realized that wasn't what I was asking and grabbed a pillow . . . it was foam, so all was good. That definitely wasn't the reason for my rating. The next morning we went for breakfast and a young man stepped in between my wife and I at the breakfast line. He helped himself to the last of the biscuits & gravy and took most of what was remaining. While I was thinking to myself how rude that was, I was shocked when he walked in and sat behind the front desk. This was an EMPLOYEE!!! Instead of refilling all the empty warmers (there was 30 minutes until breakfast ended), he sat there and ate his breakfast. Unbelievable! I've never in my life witnessed anything like it and won't be back.

An older place, well-maintained, comfortable bed, and nice location
