Just awful. The lady was friendly and the room was big enough for our needs but it was one of the worst places we have ever stayed. The room stunk, and the furniture was as stained. There was a gentleman who lived in his room, not as just a regular guest, but as a resident, who left his door open all night and his dog approached us every time we left the room.

Be aware, this place is/was a railroad bunkhouse. If you're expecting the usual amenities, you'll be disappointed. Very small rooms, rough furnishings. Set up for railroad and hwy work crews.

This hotel is a gem in the Scottsbluff/Gering area. It is absolutely gorgeous and has fun amenities like an adult game room, boutique, and roof top patio. Our room was wonderful and the entire place was spotless. I would definitely recommend staying at Hotel 21!

The biggest complaint was that some of the electrical plugs did not work.

My only big complaint was how unhealthy the breakfast options were. There was not a single piece of fresh fruit or vegetables (not even potatoes), no yogurt or unsweetened cereals. There were scrambled eggs (thankfully) but otherwise it was all simple carbs (pancakes, waffles, muffins, white bread, sugar cereal). Not a healthy way for any human being to eat.
