Did not even go in. Drove around the property most of the rooms were boarded up. There were a lot of cars that looked abandoned and also had flat tires. Got there too late to cancel and not feel safe to even get out of the car. Did not want my family to stay in a place like this. Would not recommend this hotel for anyone. Spent an hour driving around to get another couple of rooms. Ended up late at night then had an early flight to get to the next morning. Made for a terrible start for our vacation.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hu Hotel in Memphis was disappointing. While the location is convenient, the overall guest experience was negatively impacted by both the condition of the property and the level of customer service we received. From the moment we arrived, several staff members were unfriendly and unhelpful. The concierge we interacted with never smiled once and seemed uninterested in assisting guests. The valet provided incorrect directions to Beale Street and was very dismissive when we asked questions. We also encountered another concierge while trying to figure out how to access the parking garage, and that interaction was equally unpleasant and lacking in basic hospitality. In addition to the service issues, there were maintenance concerns in our room. Several bathroom fixtures were broken and literally falling off the wall, which gave the impression that the property is not being properly maintained. We understand that everyone can have an off day, but when multiple staff interactions are consistently negative, it reflects poorly on the hotel as a whole. Based on our experience, we will not be staying at Hu Hotel again and would not recommend it to others looking for a welcoming and well-maintained place to stay in Memphis.

The room could have been cleaner and extremely small television for such a large room.

Staff were friendly. Late night pb&j was a great snack . Room was comfortable, Only thing we were disappointed in was the theater cancelled week of Elvises movies every night. Because of some other event going on. All three of us felt we missed out on movies we haven’t seen in years. It was advertised they would be playing them and we came to the theater and us and other people waited for them to open and finally a security guy came and told us it would not be playing. The Guest house needs to do better by posting info on the reader board, front check in desk. Big sign at theater to let guests know. We went to front desk to let them know people were still walking down to see it.

Being a small car for parking garage. Excellent location to walk.

No WIFI until Monday (checked in Saturday)... that's fine. We'll survive. Got ready for the pool. Opened a door to what I thought was the pool. Looked like a storage room and covers/ tarps on the ground. Turns out that was the pool. Was told the poolis closed. Front desk claimed a pipe burst a few days prior. I call BS. With the amount of stuff in that room, it looks like they purposely closed the pool down. The next morning, there was a lock and chain on that door. Rented 2 rooms. One room had a slanted floor. Only noticed it when I walked toward the headboard on the window side of the bed. In the same room with the slanted floor, were ants on the walls and in the bed. Killed a few ants. Got a new room for that night. Luckily, the new room was ant free.
