The room was clean and 2 members of staff out of the dozen I saw were friendly and nice. Apart from that, the place needs some serious refurbs doing. Lost door handles, broken window catches, ripped curtains and no aircon in the room I was in on the hottest 2 nights of the year to that point. Just a dusty old fan that was so loud I couldn't hear the storm outside that washed the pigeon skeletons across the flat roof bit to right outside my window. Parking was convenient and the breakfast was ok. Maybe service is better when there's more people but apart from the 1st lad that booked me in and the young girl serving dinner, the rest were miserable. Must say though, the coach load of pensioners had some eye opening conversations

Rooms were well kept. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Breakfast was as expected.

Charming old world hotel slightly let down by the service. Both during afternoon terrace meal and following morning breakfast the service was slow, forgetful - had to remind several staff multiple times that we had actually ordered wine with our afternoon meal. Staff were friendly but need more training.

The cost for the rooms, dinner and drinks was very expensive for what it was. The bedroom I stayed in had a broken blind which let the light in, the bedside lamp was also broken, the Manager was grumpy, but two very nice waitresses. Otherwise not to be recommended at that price.

Stopped in the hotel for a couple of nights at the beginning of July. The room 111 was huge and the fan was powerful and very useful. The room was clean and I can not fault in any way. Add to this a great cooked breakfast, central location and free parking, I could not recommend high enough. I'd certainly not look elsewhere.

Room not available at 15.00hours restaurant, no ice bucket for champagne no cheese for dessert offered just biscuits fire alarm at 1am .no fire fault on board reports of regular smoking in rooms. On good side good response from manager to concerns and complaints fantastic view of cricket on balcony best we've ever had .
