I hate giving poor reviews, so please don't think I'm just being a Karen here, but this property really disappointed me. We like the chain itself, and have stayed in other of their properties in the U.S. and England (called Premiere Inn over there, if memory recalls), so we're still fans of the brand, but yeah, this place has issues. We were pre-assigned our room on the third floor through our Expedia booking, as I had (kindly, with a smiley face and everything) asked the property for a higher floor away from the elevator when booking, so it was that much more annoying to find we got a bad room. It was located on a side of the building with a crazy-bright parking lot light, which shouldn't be an issue if the hotel simply included blackout curtains on that side. Instead, when it came time to turn out the lights and go to sleep ahead of our early schedule the next day, we realized too late we were getting a lot of light still coming in. Adding to the annoyance was a very sharp metal mattress support/base sticking out right by the window, exactly where you needed to go to close the curtains as much as they would close (and adjust the thermostat below the window). We both injured ourselves on that thing. Grr! Less importantly but also worth noting, a drawer kept sliding out on its own accord and the shower door kept sliding open on me too. Maybe we just got a bad room? Who knows.
