We enjoyed our one night stay, and had a room at the back of the hotel on the ground floor which was very quiet. It opened onto a garden area which was nice to sit in however our only suggestion for improvement would be that the garden furniture could do with an upgrade. Quick check-in with very friendly and helpful reception staff. Free car parking at the hotel was a great bonus.

We spent a very enjoyable 5 days at The Scotsman. It is ideally situated in the middle of everything Edinburgh has to offer. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. A special shout out to Alan and Theo for taking such good care of us. They were tested by our large family's copious questions and didn't blink. Their suggestions were spot on, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have had their guidance throughout our stay. We will definitely return to the Scotsman next time we are in Edinburgh.

Everything is Nice in this hôtel Howecer the rooms are locales to an adjacent d’amour bar withloud people and music that goes on into the wee morning Hours . After there is cleaning of bottes and trash noises until 4 am at least for 3 nughts of our 4 nights stay the est plugs furnished dis nto entirely do the trick Unfortunate for this great place and Nice staff ….

Parking is awful, we were lucky we got a space round the corner. It was a great location for our event at murrayfield but the sofa bed isnt an actual bed. Luckily we took our inflatable double bed but had to go to shop and get sheets and duvet cover for it. Fine for one night and a few hours sleep

I found the under the bed sensor lighting in the loft super helpful when I got up in the night to find the WC. Having a fridge and microwave was convenient.
