Modern, typical Novotel. Comfortable bed, decent shower, friendly reception. We didn't eat there, so cannot comment. We were there for a long weekend in Edinburgh. The tram stop is less than a five minute walk and takes around 20 minutes into the town centre, Our Dalmatian was very happy with the hotel, too - there's plenty of green space around to do a wee.

Parts of the hotel were absolutely gorgeous, other parts not so much. The carpets definitely need to be redone they were quite stained and dirty. The bathrooms were very nice, the soap smelled divine. I stayed in four different hotels during my stay in Scotland and this one had the most comfortable bed of all of all four.

Great location and helpful staff. The rooms were well stocked. The room we were in was quiet and comfortable

The location was excellent.

A great location and a great hotel!

A well operated, historical, clean, boutique hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location overlooking Dean Village, accessible to Leith Walkway and walkable to Stockbridge, the Royal Mile and Old Town Edinburgh.
