The sheets appeared to be clean, but one of the beds was damp. The carpeting was quite dirty, with Cheerios, wads of hair, crumbs, and other debris under the bed and armchair. The bathrooms are basic and old, although for what we paid for our rooms, I wouldn't expect a remodel anytime soon. The positives... The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. Our rooms were the furthest from the office and so were very quiet which was quite nice. The beds were comfortable enough, especially considering that it was a budget motel. The grab and go breakfast included coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt, whole fruit, granola bars, and more.

Beautiful location, bedding nice, helpful staff, convenient parking right in front of our room. Room had coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Hotel lobby had coffee/tea but no breakfast. Have to travel for breakfast. Room had only one chair and a low small table. An additional chair would be good. Staff had no control but one person hogged the coffee machine and used the last drop of coffee without letting staff know. It was annoying but beyond staff control.

Clean room. No one at front desk. Only a camera . A wait for attention. Unattended

The Black Sheep Inn occupies a beautiful and historic house near the pleasant village of Hammondsport. The accommodations were comfortable. The innkeepers were welcoming and generous. The included breakfast is always a hit!

Location is ideal to ely enjoy Corning, NY by day and night. Enjoyed our stay very much.

The room was clean and cozy. Shower could be updated, but very clean. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Would stay the there again.
