I stay here quite regularly and would usually give 4 stars however on this occasion it has to be three. I booked a king bed room and got two singles joined together with a gap through the middle making for a particularly uncomfortable sleep. I also chose to eat in the bar, very very overpriced.

This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out). Despite all this, it was in a good location for us and a good price. We wish the team well with their continued improvements and hope it is a success.

All good as usual, great sleep and food

Very clean, it had everything we needed and the log fire was lovely. We will definitely stay again as visit the area regularly to visit family in nearby villages. Hosts were very friendly and quick at replying to messages.

Pam and I were made very welcome and didn’t feel like outsiders at all. Brilliant decor and comfort. I would highly recommend Oliver’s Guesthouse Peter Finbarr-Smith

The room very basic and in need of a refurbishment the carpet was stained with burn marks, the bed very uncomfortable and not the cleanest, the bathroom had stains and was in need of a deep clean, furniture was in serious need of a coat of paint, along with the whole part of the hotel. Only positive comment the place was cheap but won't be staying again

Excellent stay, friendly staff, excellent food.
