Clean room and helpful staff

Great.

From the time I walked into the hotel staff was very friendly.

Hotel cleanliness concerns My stay was far below expectations. The room had noticeable dust, the hallways carried a persistent unpleasant smell, and the bathroom door was poorly aligned, making it difficult to use. Toilets tank was leaky. Although the front desk acknowledged these issues and assured me a refund, they asked me to coordinate with the manager — who has been unreachable and has not returned any of my calls. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this property.

We had two nights of very bad stay in a poorly managed hotel. The air-conditioner thermostat was all over the place. It was either too cold or the thermostat would not activate the AC. My kid had terrible allergies and was feeling sick after we stayed after at this place. It was extremely overpriced, for what we paid. We got the worst deal here. The towels were basically worn out rags, and frayed out. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The mattresses were mushy, though we managed thru. I tried to use the iron for pressing clothes, it had some plasticky residue on the hot surface which I did not notice first. This ruined my shirt, left some melted residue on the fabric! The windows were dirty, basically blocking the view outside. The stairwell was smelling like a dirty warehouse. God knows when they even cleaned this place. Expedia description said that they had a good breakfast, that was a disappointment too. The gym room did not even have proper drinking water, had a water fountain like they have at public restrooms. Whoever gave this place a good rating has no standards or have never stayed in an acceptable hotel. I felt scammed after staying at this place. It is a bit further from the main areas, next to a shopping area near a Home Depot. So I saw some workers and budget. conscious students staying in these rooms. I’ve stayed in downtown Austin in a branded hotel for much less than this cheaply run place.

Clean, modern, new build, safe. Staff is professional. Everything was in order and well run. Spacious room. Cute outdoor pool.

We had a great 1-night stay at the College Station property. Clean, firm bed, cool a/c, terrific courtyard to swim, swing, play cornhole, ping pong, and shuffleboard. We loved the retro theme and decor. It was nice to have a full bar available and 2 free drink tokens (for drafts or lattes) at check-in. There is always free coffee in the lobby, but we’d prefer to have a Keurig in the room. We’ll definitely stay here again if the need arises. Kudos Hotel McCoy!
