Can't say enough about the atmosphere in this mid century hotel. They have a deck and indoor area for drinks and small plates. The common area was very comfortable and full of games, books, tables, sofas, fireplace and tables. Breakfast food choices are a handful of options and fantastic coffee. Only drawback was couldn't get the tv to sync with smart phone, so no tv. The individual a/c unit was extremely loud and never got cooler than 75. Great location, rural yet a 14 minute drive to downtown Harbor Springs and close to the tunnel of trees.

We accidentally left a backpack in our room on our checkout day. Only realized this when our carriage already left for the dock. The hotel has an excellent direct texting communication system with their guest. I sent a text and explained what happened. They sent someone to grab the backpack from the room and sent it to the next carriage going to the dock. We got our backpack in Mackinaw City! Talk about customer service!! The property is so gorgeous and dreamy. You guys are amazing! Great service! Great food! Great staff! Landscaping maintained to perfection and scenic views! We will be back! Thank you Stonecliffe!!

A very mediocre hotel. Outside doors where not key-operated, but always 'open' with just a pull 24/7 ... leaving inside stairs and elevator open to the general public. Ceiling fan running extremely slowly could not be turned higher or off due to the malfunctioning wall switch. One light over the nightstand flickered, so we just didn't use that light. Breakfast was hot tea or hot chocolate and a Betty Crocker oatmeal/raisin cookie. The bed was clean and the mattress good, so we slept well.

Loved the walkout to the beach and the inside restaurant. All the staff are helpful and kind.

Very worn down, dirty hotel, stained carpets, broken things in the room. We bought blankets at the store to use and slept on top of the sheets. We will never book here again or suggest it to anyone. We went off of the high ratings and we are wondering about the validity of these ratings. There are much nicer places to stay… like even sleeping in your own car.
