The pool was quite dirty, Breakfast was very bad. Bread products were old.

We had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back! The cabin was absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean, cozy, and surrounded by peaceful forest views. Having lake access made our stay even more special, whether it was relaxing by the water or taking in the quiet scenery. One of the highlights was the spa. The sauna, cold plunge, and wellness spaces were the perfect way to unwind after spending time outdoors. Everything about the property encourages you to slow down, disconnect, and enjoy nature. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful cabins, lake access, and wonderful spa amenities, Vanderkamp is the perfect destination. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit!

Gave 2 stars, as check in was horrible! Waited for over an hour to check in, and the lines was snaking!!! and there were people ahead of me, who were waiting even longer. It turns out there was also another issue with housekeeping. This seems to be the actions with these small hotels on a weekend. This has been my 2nd encounter with something like this. Expedia....I don't know...but this does not look good. Please be careful with who you partner with. At least when this happens. Have the hotel offer the guest and a later check out time, since they were robbed (yes, I would say robbed, as you paid for certain hours, and were robbed of some). One couple in line called you guys immediately, and they were offered something. I guess it is a matter of, if you don't ask, you don't get, and they hope you go away quietly.

The rooms were lovely. In addition to a well appointed bathroom, access to a comfortable robe, and luxurious bedding, the room had a settee and a wall of library books which was a lovely touch. The bar was great and had a nice selection. The communal space was welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, breads and pastries, fruits and yogurt as well as locally brewed coffee. The grounds were lovely and you can walk to Buttermilk Falls State Park, but if you want to see the main waterfall (and potentially swim) it is about a 45 minute to a 1 hour walk each way, so something to keep in mind. We had a great time and would stay there again.

Great property. Beautifully landscaped and maintained. Great restaurants. Would recommend highly
