The Black Sheep Inn is a rare gem! Built in the mid-19th century and renovated with modern appliances and amenities. Kim makes a fantastic breakfast. Hammondsport is a charming village. We stayed four nights and enjoyed every minute.

Don't even think about booking this place They're a bunch of fraudsters Booked and paid on expedia all in price for hotel night with no additional charges noted on the reservation other than the usual credit card hold/deposit for incidental charges or damage Arrived around 1130pm and the front desk clerk demanded an additional $70 without any disclosure explanation or documentation or else we wouldn't be allowed to check in Expedia always let's you know if there is going to be something due at the property, and there was none in this case. Then I read on other reviews that it is not safe to give them your credit card, even for deposits, because they don't always return the full deposit Expedia was not helpful at all in resolving this matter, either at check in or canceling and refunding the cost We sure as heck were not going to trust this hotel with our credit card so we "ate" the cost took our losses and went to a dependable Marriott property

We were on our first anniversaries getaway and had the pleasure of staying with you one night. The facility was very clean, the staff very pleasant and welcoming. My wife enjoyed a part of the morning utilizing the gym facilities while we both enjoyed the pool and hot tub due to be allowed a late check out. Great breakfast. Was a gentleman attending it that was a bit gruff and didn’t seem to be too happy of a person. Next trip, Staybridge will be our first choice for accommodation. Thanks to all!
