Informed hotel it was my 60th they completely ignored this a happy birthday would have been nice - concierge was embarrassed as we checked out!! - bath panel falling to bits and bathroom dated hotel sign falling to bits - breakfast made me unwell feel disappointed

I can't fault Beaumont House at all - the staff were welcoming, warm and attentive; the room was beautifully finished and thoroughly clean; the bathroom in our room was a great size and featured the best shower I've ever had in my life; breakfast was delicious, all locally sourced and cooked to perfection; the location was stunning, quiet and very close (literally 5 min> walk) to the centre of Windermere which has excellent restaurants, bars and shops. This accommodation was perfect for a cosy, romantic getaway but would also be great for singles, friends who want a quiet, picturesque escape to really relax and unwind. I would 100% come back again.

Hotel is very nice but website and booking very misleading.. photos and name suggests spa facilities available for all but hotel guests do not get use of the spa and is actually an addition (which we were totally unaware of). When trying to add the spa to the booking, we were told it was fully booked!! The whole point of a spa resort is to be able to have a spa and relaxing day, if it was made more clear, we would have just booked a standard B&B which would have been a fraction of the cost! We did mention this to staff, but they weren't interested and just got fobbed off. Not welcoming at all, and not helpful or interested.. not be staying here again for sure!

Very nice B&B on a quiet side street close to restaurants, pubs and public transport. Breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and served with a smile. Really appreciated the fans in the hot weather

Unbelievable apartment!!! What a find, from the moment I found The Rockefeller on Expedia to arrival through to the end of the stay everything was the best!! Not going to gointo much detail as wouldn’t want to ruin anybody else’s experience but I will say you won’t be disappointed, everything about the apartment is funky, design led and luxurious from the furnishings to the artwork and even the kitchen and bathroom are of the highest spec. Centrally located with ample parking pretty much opposite and within a few minutes walk of the lake the apartment met and exceeded every expectation. As a little bonus just 50 yards away you’ll find a cafe, the Urban Food House, serving the best breakfast and coffees in the area, another great find. Should the owner ever decide to enter “4 in a bed” the competition will have a job on its hands to even come close to the Rockefeller. Last few words, book it, book it, book it, you’ll have the best time!!!!
