I showed up and they said they didn't have a room for me.Because expedia didn't confirm my stay there. Needless to say after driving all the way there and not have any place to stay for my son's birthday, It was very upsetting. And all I get for the inconvenience is a ruined trip

American Inn and Suites Houghton Lake
Room was great. Desk service outstanding. The night manager has a dog named Sully that is the highlight of every stay. He’s a major attraction for the hotel.

Clean, comfortable and secure room. Decore and amenities are a bit dated but serviceable. The only functional issue is that water pressure (toilet) is low, shower is fine though. Would stay again.
