The staff, especially Roxy, were incredibly friendly, helpful, and engaging, and we really enjoyed speaking with them. The location couldn't be more perfect, especially if you’re down there with a potential UW Madison student. The room's cleanliness left a lot to be desired, especially the bathroom. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel's theming, including the room, was cute. The rooftop bar is really fun and has a great view of the Capitol. Be aware that there is a substantial number of homeless individuals who hang out in the passageway from the hotel to State Street, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Lastly, the valet service was very efficient and had in-and-out privileges.

I expected more for the price. The room was nice but other than the terrace king nothing special. At this price point I would have expected the bed to be more luxurious, the bathroom had areas that needed repainting. The shampoo, conditioner and body gel were just okay. No bath salts or foam provided for the soaker tub. I did use room service and ate at the Statehouse, both were good. Would have liked their market open past 4pm given that was checkin time.

Rooms are always clean and the bed was very comfortable. The couches in the room need need upgrading. That was my only room suggestion. The common areas are nicely laid out, staff was friendly and helpful. Maybe having a continental breakfast included with the room would be nice. I did run out each morning and bring back coffee and food. I have been staying here for a number of years and have never been disappointed.

We had two rooms this past weekend. The check in staff was great! Super friendly and helpful in getting some extra towels. My mother in law reported that she had the best night sleep! Breakfast was a solid hotel breakfast, nothing fancy but well stocked! Only two weird things - there were Slim Jim’s left on our couch and nail clippings in the bathroom. Made us question the cleaning a bit. Location was great! Costco is close - easy to get gas and a pizza when needed!

Staff had me contact Expedia to ask Expedia to give the hotel my payment information. I’ve never had this happen and we were on our way to check in. They wouldn’t let us check in until they got the information from Expedia
