The key cards did not work. Our room had not been cleaned. The bathroom light did not work, nor did one of the bedside lights. Only one person working whole building, other than two cleaning persons, one of which appeared to be on meth or some other drug. The clerk got the bathroom light to work. When it turned on you could see urine on the toilet, feces on the wall and hair in the tub and shower. The refrigerator was filthy. The hallway was dark, dirty and smelled like mold. There was no elevator. The clerk was able to find another room for us. The key cards again did not work. I am disabled, as is my friend, and having to go up and down the stairs several times was painful and exhausting. There seemed to be some sort of septic or retention pond issue on the grounds, and it stunk too. They had a pump going out there. Not one customer we spoke with was happy about the condition of the place. The poor young lady at the reception desk did her best, but there was not even a maintenance person available to help.

The bathroom sink cold side leaked terribly and because we left early and no one was at the desk.

Beautiful property, clean rooms, quiet area, and great breakfast.

The esthetic of the buildings and grounds are very pleasing at first glance. In reality it appears to be an old econo lodge type motel remodeled with mcm details, but the musty smell remains in the room. The shower curtain liner was stained. The staff was very nice and the restaurant gets very busy for dinner with both guests and locals. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but the menu was well planned. The property is not on the beach. There is a nature preserve across the street, about a 30 minute walk to get to the beach. There was no car access to the nature preserve during road work.
