Staff were unpleasant. There was a staff person who was locked out and I let them in and he was the only pleasant person I ran into. I was told to bring down my used towels in order to get fresh ones for the morning. Light in room on the one side didn’t work. And you couldn’t use the outlet in the other light fixture plugs didn’t fit right, they were too loose. The snack area was basically empty both stays. Refrigerator was leaking and didn’t work. Damp musty smell throughout hotel.

The property is under construction so I understand that it could be a mess however there was glass all over the parking lot and pieces of metal where we walked our dog. Just because a place is under construction doesn’t mean these things need to be there.

We had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back! The cabin was absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean, cozy, and surrounded by peaceful forest views. Having lake access made our stay even more special, whether it was relaxing by the water or taking in the quiet scenery. One of the highlights was the spa. The sauna, cold plunge, and wellness spaces were the perfect way to unwind after spending time outdoors. Everything about the property encourages you to slow down, disconnect, and enjoy nature. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful cabins, lake access, and wonderful spa amenities, Vanderkamp is the perfect destination. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit!

Convenient location

The hotel was nice. Pretty room but it was freezing cold and there was no way to adjust the air-conditioning as there was no thermostat in the room. The room did not have a hair dryer so that was disappointing. The TV showed we could watch Netflix but there was clicker to allow us to sign into our netflix account. The remote only let us watch live TV.
