The staff is the best part about staying at the Townsend. This is old money. They have incredibly well trained staff and just plain knowledgeable, helpful, and kind people. If you're looking for a great experience in Birmingham, stay here!

DO NOT STAY HERE…My husband and I booked this hotel. We stayed one night of what would have been five nights. The place was dirty. Walking through the door, you were hit by the smell of marijuana. It was not family friendly. I was hesitant to get out of the car, An obviously drunk man was stumbling into the building as we were about to check in. The TV didn’t work. The sheets didn’t look fresh. We only stayed the night because it was so 2am when we got there. We anticipated paying for the night since we stayed there. Per the refund policy, they should have refunded me for the remaining four nights. They have refused to do so. They told Expedia they were too busy to deal with it and have since been unresponsive. The County Health Dept should conduct a review of this place, as it was NOT CLEAN, not to mention the Better Business Bureau, as well as the MI Attorney General’s office for their business practices.

Love staying at Webers for my business trips. It’s conveniently close to everything. My room is always clean and dinner is excellent.
