I have stayed at the Nyack Hotel before and had a good experience, which is why this last stay was so disappointing. After driving four hours from Boston, I arrived around 12:15 a.m. and was exhausted. There was a large wedding party at the hotel, and when I went to check in there were only about three groups ahead of me. Unfortunately, there was only one front desk agent working. Each group seemed to take an extremely long time because there were lengthy conversations, multiple payment transactions, and different room decisions being made at the desk. What should have been a quick check-in ended up taking over 40 minutes. When I finally received my room keys, they didn't work, so I had to go back downstairs and wait again to have them reprogrammed. The hallway leading to the room had a strong musty odor that lasted throughout my stay. The carpet smelled like it needed a deep cleaning or replacement, and it really affected the overall experience. I won breakfast for me and my guest, which was a nice perk and the food was enjoyable. However, the service was frustrating. The attendant stepped away for about 20 minutes while several guests, including myself, stood there waiting just to place an order. I know this hotel is capable of providing a much better experience because I've stayed here before and enjoyed it. I hope management addresses the staffing issues and refreshes the hallways, because with a few improvements this could once again be a great place to stay.

I’m very disappointed with our stay. We’ve stayed here many times over the years and have never had a negative experience, which makes this visit especially disappointing. I’m not sure if it’s related to the ResortPass guests, but people were arriving as early as 8:00 a.m., placing towels on lounge chairs, and then leaving for hours without ever using the pool. As a result, there were virtually no chairs available for guests who were actually at the pool. To make matters worse, this morning there were four empty lounge chairs available, but a security staff member at the pool rudely told me they were reserved for the owners. Watching chairs sit empty while paying guests had nowhere to sit was incredibly frustrating, and the interaction itself was unprofessional. The service was also far below what we’ve come to expect. We waited more than 45 minutes for our food, only for the order to be incorrect when it finally arrived. In addition, our room was never cleaned overnight. We had originally planned to extend our stay. We came with family and booked connecting rooms, but the experience was so disappointing that our family member decided to leave early, and we no longer felt comfortable extending our visit. This experience was completely unlike the level of service we’ve always received here. We have always enjoyed staying here, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as this experience has made us reconsider returning

I have had the experience of staying in numerous hotels previously, but unfortunately, the Stamford Suite fell short of expectations, particularly given its location in a city with a high cost of living. My disappointment was palpable. In contrast to the superior accommodations I encountered in some Third World countries, the Stamford Suite left much to be desired. Upon arrival, the front desk personnel failed to greet me, and when I expressed gratitude for the key, I wasn't acknowledged. Further inspection of the room revealed a dirty carpet with tears and a broken closet door. The environment triggered severe sneezing fits, which I later attributed to the dust accumulation on the windows and the unhygienic conditions under the kitchen sink, where I spotted mouse traps. When I attempted to check out, the onsite manager informed me that I wouldn't be able to do so without penalty. I explained my allergies to dust and dirty carpet, but was told I'd forfeit my payment. It was only when I threatened to share photographic evidence of the mouse traps that the manager became dismissive, questioning my reasons for exploring the area under the sink. I strongly advise against staying here

Don’t stay here. Not as listed.

The room were clean and the property also. NOMA tends to be a party place, especially on weekends. So a little noisy in the hallways late at night and parking can be difficult. AC in our room was a little noisy.

Easy to get to. Friendly helpful employees. A couple of the days we stayed they had snow cones in the lobby, my daughter was so excited.

The property is old/dated/in poor repair totally unlike any other Hampton Inn that I have stayed at. My ac unit was squeaking and when I called the front desk to see if we could change rooms the front desk told me to stay in the same room because if I switched to another room the ac may not work as well. Time to put some money into the place or close. You give Hampton Inn a bad name.
