I needed to check on my husband on the house phone. There was no one to answer my call for about 40 minutes. So I had to drive up there to see if he was okay. Only 5 miles but still . . . .

When we got to the room the first thing we were met with was a black smudge on the towel place on tub edge. We went to desk and got a replacement. We thought we would go swimming. There were no clean towels in the cabinet labeled “clean towels” so we went to front desk. They told us we couldn’t have more than 1 towel per person. We explained we wanted one for the pool and would want a clean on for after a shower. Reluctantly they allowed us 2 more towels. When we started to go down the steps in pool we was shocked at how cold the water was as it was listed as a “heated” pool. Then we saw how dirty the pool was and decided against going in. We sat in pool area and watched 5 other people come in to pool area take one look at its condition and leave. The next morning at breakfast there was no coffee offered at the breakfast bar. The coffee maker in room looked dirty so we didn’t bother.

When I arrived the front desk clerk was slow and kept telling me one thing and doing another. Plus they apparently do a 100 dollar hold on your card when you stay there. NONE of which was told to me beforehand. I booked 2 rooms and instead of charging me one single price like most hotels do they charged me 2 seperate prices so they could tack on another 100 dollar hold. They were not very helpful or competent . Will never stay again

The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good.

The smell was awful. My first room smelled of smoke and mold,second room given smelled of mold. The floor felt damp so I wore my shoes on the carpet at all times..came in very late around 10pm from a 6 hour drive so did want to ask for a.3rd choice because were just tired. We stayed out of the room for about 8 hours every day and that's the only reason I didn't book another hotel in the area. On our last day we checked out right after breakfast at around 8am complained at checkout about the mold rep gave me a business card for the
