Shady Valley Vacation Packages

This was the perfect location. Close to restaurants, shopping and the covered bridge. The room was big and comfortable and it felt more like an apartment rather than a "hotel" room. Check-in was so easy as was the access to our room and parking. We will absolutely be back again in the spring to visit our daughter at Milligan University.

Loved The Gracie Suite! We absolutely loved our stay at The Downtown Post in The Gracie Suite! From the moment we arrived, it felt comfortable, welcoming, and peaceful. The suite was beautifully done, very clean, and had so much charm and character. It was one of those places where you immediately feel at home. Everything was thoughtfully put together, and we really appreciated the little details that made our stay extra enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely stay here again and won't hesitate to recommend "The Downtown Post" to family and friends. If you're considering booking it—do it! You won't be disappointed. ❤️ Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Loved the staff and the room along with proximity to attractions.

Check in staff was very friendly and helpful. Ice machine was broken, but they had ice available in the office. Room was clean and comfortable.

So clean ! Had all the comforts of home . Private and roomy . The amount of detail that went into property was amazing . Lots of towels and my favorite drink Dr Enuf !

Johnson City was being pounded by rain from the hurricane Isaias in the Gulf. After locating my room, my parking spot was about 100 yards away. I believe renovations were being done, at least it looked like it. It was 7 pm and already dark. I have some mobility issues and coupled with the rain, I felt very inconvenienced to have to walk that distance in the pouring rain with my luggage. I never entered the room, so I can't speak to the level of cleanliness or amenities. I went back to the front desk and told the clerk I just could not stay there. He was polite, said he understood. He issued a refund. Since I had prepaid, my refund showed up in my bank account 3 days later. I gave 3 stars for the politeness of the front desk, I can't really rate anything else.
