2 nice places to listen to music and eat a reasonably priced meal. The steakhouse is excellent food, but quite pricey. For those that want that, it's fine.

Baymont by Wyndham Cortez
We spend two nights at the Baymont in Cortez with three teens. Pool was great and breakfast buffet was very good. Room was as described and although the facility was aging, the staff was nice and it lived up to the expectations. Also, Cortez was a very cosy town and fairly walkable.

We found small brown spiders crawling on the bathroom sink which wasn’t very nice and the AC unit is tucked away in the bathroom area so hardly any of the air reached your bed. That was a bummer.

Everything about the room was great. Only complaint is a house near the property has dogs and apparently the dog owner has no problem leaving them out at night and letting them bark. We ended up calling the Ouray County Sheriff to come and mitigate this after 45 minutes of barking that started at ...
